Supporting Care with Purpose: Donations to Manger Care Centre
At Supplywise, we believe in supporting organisations that make a real difference in people’s lives. That is why we were proud to recently donate new stationery cabinets and a secure cellphone locker to the Manger Care Centre in Benoni. The gift may seem small, but we know that the right tools and environment matter — and that when an organisation has proper infrastructure, its team can focus more fully on its mission.
The Manger Care Centre has a vision to cultivate a caring and loving environment that enables positive upliftment and empowerment for vulnerable and destitute people. Through programmes spanning feeding schemes, clothing, skills development, accommodation support and mental-health services, they work tirelessly to make persons feel that they are valued and worthy.
In response to the needs expressed by the Centre’s management and staff, Supplywise stepped up to provide two essential pieces of furniture: sturdy stationery cabinets for organising supplies and records, and a cellphone locker to allow beneficiaries’ devices to be collected and stored safely during certain programmes. We hope that these items will enhance the Centre’s operational efficiency, reduce distractions or security concerns around mobile devices, and help create a tidier, more supportive environment for the staff and residents alike.
We were especially impressed by how the Manger Care Centre approaches upliftment: not only offering the basic necessities of food and shelter, but also providing psychological and spiritual guidance, emotional-support services and training opportunities. .
The donation also reinforces our belief — at Supplywise — that small material gifts can add up to meaningful change. A cabinet may not seem glamorous, but for staff who are organising training materials, records, stationery and beneficiary information, it becomes a tool of empowerment. A secure locker for cellphones may help the Centre focus mentees on learning sessions, reduce potential misuse and protect devices during shared activities. We are proud to contribute and hopeful that these additions will offer long-term value.
We extend our thanks to the team at Manger Care Centre for all they do and for allowing us the opportunity to partner in their important work. As we look ahead, we remain committed to supporting community organisations that reflect our values of care, dignity and upliftment.
