Quick and simple to install, mobile shelving provides very cost effective, efficient and versatile storage solutions.
- Mobile shelving enables you to maximise the use of your floorspace with innovative and highly efficient storage solutions, providing significantly increased storage capacity
- A mobile shelving unit simply moves to create an aisle as necessary which means only one aisle of space is ever required to access any part of the storage area
- Ideal applications include: office filing systems, archive and archived document storage, media tape storage, medical and patient records for hospitals, doctors surgeries, X-Ray, pathology, pharmacy, schools and educational establishments, libraries and more
- Mobile storage shelving works by moving the rows of shelving units as required to create an aisle for the specific position in the system where access is required. If for example, an item stored on the third row of the system is required, the shelving units from this row onwards will move along to open up access to the third row
- Optional extras: Shelves, pull out cradle, pull out shelf, pull out drawer, wire rack, suspended cradle, chain drive - tandem units and cladding
- Last moveable bay has lock box attached. There is a hole in the base where the locking rod will pass through when locked. If needed additional bays can be locked with hasp and staple which will be an additional cost
- The system is installed quickly and easily using pre-formed components, does not require fixing to the floor and is laid directly onto existing flooring, even carpet tiles. This eliminates the construction work associated with older, conventional mobile shelving systems, resulting in minimal disruption to your workplace during installation
- A grid of tracks and beams is quickly laid and levelled to provide a level and secure foundation for the mobile bases. Tongue and groove floor panels are then laid to provide an attractive, hard wearing non slip laminate finish. Alternatively, flooring to accommodate carpet, vinyl or laminate finishes can also allow easy access for users, even with trolleys
- The pre-assembled bases which incorporate integral anti-tilt safety feature are simply placed onto the tracks ready for the shelving to be added
- Minimum required ceiling height needed is 2450mm
- Dimensions of bay - 7300mm is the total floor length which is made up by 800mm walkway and 16 bays of which each bay is 400mm deep
- Standard colour is motorcraft grey
- Single line bays are operated by handles attached to the side of the bays
- Where there are 2, 3 and 4 wide units, opening and closing is used by means of chain drive
